The Cookie Company Concept
I have chosen to do a Web site for The Cookie Company because it is a company that offers unique, creative, and fun products for people of all ages. There is a variety of ways to present this information over the Internet, which makes it even more exciting. Tools such as Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash will help to create stimulating, dynamic pages to entice the customer and increase sales. Creating Web sites to promote business for diverse companies is important because it allows the Web site designer to work with a variety of elements and objects to create professional, exceptional, one-of-a-kind Web sites for the world to see.
The Cookie Company Web site was designed with fun in mind. The background is colorful, yet subtle, and easy on the eyes. Muted blue, pink, and yellow are blended in a repetitive pattern, which is not fixed and therefore moves along with the text. The home page is simple with only one graphic and navigational buttons. The Cookies page contains thumbnail graphic images of cookie designs currently offered by the company. This content will change as needed. Each cookie image is a graphical link to a larger image of the cookie design with a description of it. The Orders page will eventually allow customers to place orders online as well as provide additional contact information and alternative methods for ordering items. The Location Page will contain information regarding locations of The Cookie Company. The Information page will contain various information regarding the company as well as a copy of this document. The About Us page will contain information about The Cookie Company and will also contain an animated graphic of a cookie the company offers.
The overall idea is to create a fun way to present information
about The Cookie Company with the public to promote business and increase sales.
The theme is to design a colorful, yet appealing way to divulge this information
to both current and prospective customers. The theme will concentrate on fun,
unique cookie images and will evolve as new cookies and ideas are developed.
